I’m not going to use AI for anything . . . . . . We are going to regret its invention just as much as we now regret the global hegemony of social media, which was once foreseen to be such a beautiful and wondrous force for good.
People who are only interested in wealth and power are driving the AI train. While it may have its benefits—and those benefits may be great in some carefully, narrowly defined and regulated areas—the overall effect on society and the human species—all species now that I think about it—will be profoundly destructive. It will be one more tool we will use to turn off our brains and our hearts and our souls so that can Consume instead of Think and Love and Live.
